Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading frontline interaction with external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of exploration operations as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Developing relationships with stakeholders, with a particular focus on communities local to the organisations operations
- Developing and coordinating the implementation of stakeholder strategies and activities, ensuring alignment and consistency with corporate and Business Unit and country objectives
- Gathers information on stakeholder needs and concerns, including opportunities for business development.
- Recommends effective and practical strategies and actions to Country and functional management to meet corporate responsibility and social vision objectives..
- Maintains a network of key contacts with stakeholder groups and industry peers in the region.
- Makes recommendations for community development strategies
- Manage implementation of some community development projects
- Manage, interface and oversee contract services that are working on social responsibility and stakeholder/community issues

As a senior member of the team the successful candidate will have detailed knowledge of equator principals as well as the approach being taken by the financial services sector towards sector position statements, this would include an understanding of what is best practise for front line bankers.

- Lead the bank’s Environmental Due Diligence work.
- Provide advisory support to the business on the use of the position statements and adherence to the Equator Principles. On occasions this will involve site visits and the provision of detailed technical support to the business on relevant social and environmental issues, specifically how they should be managed in a manner which is in accordance with the Bank's social and environmental commitments.
- Support to related governance processes, including desk based research on 'high risk' clients and transactions to enable informed decisions to be taken.
- Reputation management - external NGO/ lobby group/ standards and best practice bodies relationship management and monitoring to communicate the progressive position the Bank is taking on sustainable lending.

- Experience in developing tools to gather and analyse performance data. A proven track record of the management and co-ordination of contractors and/or consultants, including pre and post audit activities.
- To develop and implement an annual communications strategy with identified communications objectives for each major stakeholder group. Experience of being the key spokesperson and ‘ambassador’ representing their previous organisation when engaging with ethical trade bodies, the media, governmental bodies, international partners and commercial organisations.
- Experience in communicating and influencing, including writing and reporting, for both internal and external audiences, at a variety of levels (e.g. from senior managers, industry heads through to local community members).
